The Canadian Healthcare Billing Problem Nobody Solves Cleanly
A Canadian clinic group with three sites across Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia is billing three different provincial payers, three different fee schedules, three different remittance advice formats, and doing it alongside private insurance, WSIB, third-party assessments, and self-pay. Most Odoo implementations get to a working general ledger and stop. That leaves the finance team reconciling provincial payer files in Excel every month, which is where revenue leakage actually happens.

Odoo is not HIPAA compliant out of the box, and any partner who tells you otherwise is selling you a problem. A standard Odoo installation does not include a Business Associate Agreement, encryption at rest, or the audit logging HIPAA expects. Wherever possible, we keep protected health information in the certified EMR and use Odoo as the governed operational layer around it.
